Lately, we’ve been hearing the term “romantic makeup” quite often. So, what exactly is romantic makeup, and how is it done?
What is Romantic Makeup?
Before we get into how to do romantic makeup, let’s take a look at what it is. Romantic makeup is a type of makeup that gives the skin a more vibrant and healthier appearance. It can also be described as “makeup without exaggeration.”
How to Do Romantic Makeup?
We’re breaking down all the tips you need to achieve romantic makeup!
1. Start with a moisturizer
Before starting your makeup, thoroughly cleanse your skin and apply a moisturizing cream. Don’t begin your makeup until the moisturizer is fully absorbed.
2. Apply foundation or BB cream
After moisturizing, it’s time for a foundation that gives your skin a lively look. If you don’t have problematic skin, you can opt for a lighter BB cream instead of foundation. For a more natural look, apply your foundation or BB cream using a brush or makeup sponge.
3. Under-eye concealer
Use a concealer brush to apply concealer and cover imperfections under your eyes. Be careful not to apply too much and blend it well.
4. Add some shadow to the eyes
One of the most important steps in romantic makeup is eye makeup. For a natural eye look without overdoing it, we recommend brown tones. Apply a bronze eyeshadow to your eyelids and gently add some depth with a brown eyeshadow. Then, draw a thin, slightly winged eyeliner using a brown eyeliner pencil. Finish with a light coat of mascara.
5. Eyebrow makeup
Brush your eyebrows in the direction of hair growth and lightly fill them in with an eyebrow pencil that matches your brow color, without disturbing their natural shape.
6. Highlight the cheeks
Another essential step in romantic makeup is using peach or pink tones on the cheeks. Use one of these colors to accentuate your cheeks.
7. Apply lipstick and finish
Apply a natural-toned lipstick and, if you’d like, complete your makeup with a setting spray.
